College Education & Career Development

It’s not easy to find your purpose in life, especially at such a young age. Applying to college can be a pretty daunting experience in and of itself, so we can imagine how difficult it is to try and align your college major decision with long-term career plans.

IVA is here to help with just that. We offer a comprehensive career assessment (The Strong Interest Inventory®) followed by a personal consultation to give you step-by-step advice from our counselors on how to evaluate academic majors that fit your interests and personalities in order to prepare you in advance for success in higher education and beyond.

A little about

The Strong Interest Inventory® Test

Background

The test was developed by Edward Kellog Strong Jr. – a Professor of Applied Psychology at Stanford University who specialized in organizational psychology and career theory and development. It is among the most widely used career coaching resources in the world.

Purpose

The Strong Interest Inventory® test is an assessment that helps people match their interests with potential educational, career, and leisure activities, using an individual’s preferences in a variety of areas to aid them in discovering what they’d most enjoy doing with their work and their free time.

College Profile Edition

An additional personalized report is included to help students explore the path that is right for them by identifying specific college courses, jobs or internships, and extracurricular activities that will allow them to express their unique interests and personal style.
